Faixa finalizada, hora de procurar editora. E agora?<\/span><\/p>\n

Em primeiro lugar, continuo a achar que esta m\u00fasica \u00e9 especial e ainda n\u00e3o teve o destaque merecido. Talvez seja um \u201cs\u00edndrome art\u00edstico\u201d, por todo o nosso trabalho ser demasiado pessoal, talvez... Mas a verdade \u00e9 que sempre que ou\u00e7o esta faixa, h\u00e1 algo de especial que me mant\u00e9m entusiasmado e quando foi feita, como devem calcular, muito mais.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tendo feito parte da Toolroom Academy, era \u00f3bvio que seria a primeira escolha, mas a verdade \u00e9 que n\u00e3o tendo um perfil de social media apelativo e olhando para o que era lan\u00e7ado e como, depressa ficava desmotivado. Sentimento que ficou confirmado mais tarde.<\/p>\n

\u00c9 aqui que entra Eddie Thoneick. N\u00e3o sei, nem como nem porqu\u00ea, entrei num live onde o Eddie estava a dar feedback de m\u00fasicas feitas pelos participantes. Enviei a Ravelution. Qual n\u00e3o \u00e9 o meu espanto quando o Eddie ficou surpreso, entusiasmado e felicitou-me por um trabalho ao qual n\u00e3o poderia acrescentar nenhuma sugest\u00e3o porque a faixa estava pronta.<\/span><\/p>\n

Uma lenda como o Eddie aprovar o meu trabalho? Era a valida\u00e7\u00e3o que precisava.<\/span><\/p>\n

Falamos um pouco mais e ao saber da minha participa\u00e7\u00e3o na Toolroom Academy disse-me: \u201cTens de enviar a faixa para eles!\u201d. Ainda falamos algumas vezes por email e um conselho de ouro que o Eddie deu foi: ter sempre mais m\u00fasicas dentro da mesma qualidade e estilo, quando tentamos chegar a editoras grandes.<\/strong><\/span> De acordo com o Eddie eles querem ouvir mais trabalhos dentro da mesma linha.<\/span><\/p>\n

Assim fiz. Mas para evitar ser mais um email n\u00e3o respondido tinha de pensar noutra estrat\u00e9gia. Agarrei no telefone e liguei directamente para os escrit\u00f3rios, mas fi-lo no dia do meu anivers\u00e1rio, para usar uma boa desculpa. (Obrigado Keith Ferrarezzi*<\/a>Atendeu Pete Griffiths, sempre num tom cordial mas apressado, disse-me: \"Envia-me um email.\"<\/em>. J\u00e1 devem ter adivinhado, o email n\u00e3o teve resposta, mas essa parte nem \u00e9 o que considero importante.<\/span><\/p>\n

Music done, time to look for a label. What now? First of all, I still think this song is special and still hasn’t gotten the spotlight it deserves. Maybe it’s an “artistic syndrome”, probably because all our work is too personal, maybe… But the truth is that every time I listen to this track, there’s something special that keeps me excited and when it was done, as you might guess, even more. Having been part of the Toolroom Academy, it was obvious that it would be the first choice, but the truth is that not having lets say\u2026 \u201csocial media profile\u201d and looking at what was released and how, I quickly got discouraged. A feeling that was later confirmed. This is where Eddie Thoneick comes in. I can\u2019t remember precisely when or how, I entered a livestream session where Eddie was giving feedback on songs made by the participants. Ravelution was sent. Imagine my astonishment when Eddie was surprised, excited and congratulated me on a job to which he couldn’t add any suggestions because on his feeling the track was ready. A legend like Eddie approving my music? It was the validation needed. We talked a little more and when he found out about my participation in the Toolroom Academy he said to me: \u201cYou have to send them the track!\u201d. We still talked a few times by email and Eddie left me with a golden piece of advice: when trying to reach for big labels always have more songs within the same quality and style. According to Eddie experience they want to hear more tracks with the same vibe. That\u2019s what I did. But to avoid being another unanswered email, I had to think of another strategy. I picked up the phone and called directly to Toolroom office, but I did it on my birthday, to use a good excuse. (Thanks Keith Ferrarezzi*) Pete Griffiths answered, cordial but always on a rush\u2026 he said: \u201cSend me an email\u201d. You might have guessed by now, the email was unanswered, but that part wasn\u2019t important.
